Colin Farrell is the Penguin in “The Batman” movie

The Batman may have had a bit of a tumultuous start, being plagued by rumours, and false-starts, but Matt Reeves and the team have been setting up solid ground as the DC film forges ahead. And it seems the current solid mason work all leads to Oz. Oswald Cobblepot to be exact.

And adding to the list of cast members, director Matt Reeves conclusively confirms that the covetous role of The Penguin will be filled by none other than actor Colin Farrell.

Colin Farrell was rumoured to be the one to fill the role after talks with Jonah Hill fell though and the actor departed from the project all-together.

Matt Reeves took to Twitter to make the announcement:

Colin Farrell’s Penguin will star alongside Robert Pattinson as the titular Dark Knight, and alongside Paul Dano as the Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.
