The coronavirus has truly shafted the world (save for the scaling back of global warming, nature getting some respite, cleaner air, water… is the coronavirus the equivalent of the Thanos *snap* 🤭in Endgame?)
In any case, Sony Pictures has been the latest to unveil that the current pandemic gripping the world has had some bearing on the delay of the release schedule for much of the comic and gaming-heavy IP movies we were looking forward to this year. This includes the Sony/Marvel movie Morbiusmovie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the Uncharted video game movie.
Morbius, the Spider-Man universe-inspired movie starring Jared Leto is set to move its release date from July 31, 2020, to March 19, 2021
And speaking of Spider-Man, Tom Hollland’s Unchartedvideo game movie has pushed back on their original release schedule as well, the new date being October 8, 2021 as opposed to March 5, 2021.
