Hitman: Agent 47 trailer
No Olyphant this time around, the trailer for the 2015 20th Century Fox film Hitman: Agent 47 hit the InterWeb and we have to say the stakes are definitely raised from its predecessor which made our #TAP10 list.
The film is based on the critically-acclaimed stealth video game series Hitman by IO Interactive, featuring a genetically engineered assassin, complete with above James Bond-swag, and superb visceral killer-moves. And surely 47’s bound to have another random hooker in the back of his trunk. And yes, the Agent’s name is 47. So that alone should be enough to inform you he knows nothing about the warmth of a mother’s love.
Synopsis reads:
HITMAN: AGENT 47 centres on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research—and forty-six earlier Agent clones—endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.
Hitman: Agent 47 stars Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Ciarán Hinds, and Thomas Kretschmann. Aleksander Bach directs the Skip Woods and Michael Finch scripted film, with production from Charles Gordon, Adrian Askarieh, Alex Young, and Skip Woods.
