Nature has reclaimed its rightful place the the hierarchy of existence as the apes have become rulers and conquerors in the new coming feature Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Mouthful. Looking at you copy team.

Nevertheless, this iteration feels like it is set to be a more heartfelt, what-connotes-humanity type of excursion with a sprinkle of Disney-esque magic. Which may or may not work in its favour. Nevertheless, colour me intrigued.

The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. (“The Maze Runner”), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Jason Reed (“Mulan”), with Peter Chernin (the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy) and Jenno Topping (“Ford v. Ferrari”) serving as executive producers.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is slated for cinematic release come May 27, 2024
