The app was quite the success, hitting #1 in 30 countries in the category of “Kids aged 9 -11”, and since then Imaginism has granted Amazon the right to make Niko And the Sword Of Light into an animated series.

Synopsis for Niko And the Sword Of Light reads:

Ten-year-old Niko, the last of his kind in a strange world, embarks on an epic quest to bring light back to his land. Armed with his magic sword, Niko journeys to the Cursed Volcano, making new friends and powerful foes while uncovering secrets about his mysterious past. We think it’s awesome that apps and the comic are going on to inspire film icfeats in entertainment, and with vets like Bobby Chiu at the helm, you can expect that Disney-esque magic and creature design to translate well from the new media comic to the animated series.

Well, the pilot episode of Niko And the Sword Of Light is available to watch now for free on Amazon Prime. So be sure to have a gander and let us know what you think.
