Kevin Conroy, legendary Batman voice actor, passes away at 66
DC’s true knight takes a bow
The prolific voice actor, known for his definitive portrayal of the Dark Knight particularly in DC’s Batman: The Animated series, has died November 10, 2022 at age 66. This comes after brief battle with cancer, which nevertheless did not stop him from making Comic Con appearances for fans.
Mark Hamill, who played The Joker opposite Conroy’s Batman, honoured his friend, saying:
Kevin was perfection… the definitive Batman… the exact right guy for the exact right part. He will always be my Batman.
His gravely, distinctive voice truly defined for many generations who Batman was, and his work in both animation and film is damn-near beyond contention. A true loss and DC and animation fans alike will miss him, for sure.
