Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set to introduce us to more Spider-people and talent for the coming sequel as news of a new (secured [god, I am corny]) voice casting has been made.
So Insecure-alum actor Issa Rae has entered the Spider-Verse and will star in the coming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel
Rae is set to voice none other than Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman. She will join the returning cast members Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld, who are reprising their roles of Miles Morales, aka Spider-Man, and Spider-Gwen respectively.
Lord and Miller are also back as producers, as are Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Christina Steinberg. Alonzo Ruvalcaba is co-producing.
Also, whether or not this Jessica Drew will be linked or separate from the rumored Olivia Wilde female-led Marvel movie over at Sony Pictures is still unknown.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 has a cinematic release date slated for October 7, 2022.
