With many video game franchises taking the headlong plunge into serial TV like Fallout over at Amazon, and The Last Of Us on HBO and Resident Evil at Netflix, it would seem game develops and film production houses are trying to cement their relationship anew through live-action series as opposed long-form movie narratives. Which seemingly leads to this rumour that has surfaced.

According to Daniel Ritchtman, it would seem there are rumours floating around that a The Elder Scrolls TV series is on its way to Netflix.

This would be something we would normally dismiss, but Daniel Ritchtman has in the past proven to be a reliable source when it comes to these type of rumours. Secondly, with the success of The Witcher, and the planned Conan series that is coming, it is not too far a stretch to think Netflix would want to buckle down on carving out a new lane in the swords and sorcery department.

And as we know TES is a Bethesda franchise, which recently got consumed by Microsoft/X-Box, so we also could see Microsoft wanting to create a resurgence in the franchise pre any new game developments.

But whether this TES Netflix series has any merit or not, it is interesting to see if this recharged interest in video game live-action content will turn a leaf on the video game curse.
