The Witcher has surely tossed a few coins in Netflix’s purse, being the most sought series on the streaming platform over the Christmas break. And while we gear up for the second series of The Witcher, Netflix has announced we can look forward to more things Geralt. What are we on about? An anime film is in the works. Take that law of surprise.

That’s correcto-mundo. We can expect an anime movie based on Geralt coming to the streaming Netflix platform. The anime film is entitled The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf.

The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf movie is set to “explore[s] a new threat facing the Continent”. Studio Mir will be undertaking the enormous task of bringing the animation to life. The outfit was also integral in the creation of the previous animation series The Legend of Korra.

Netflix’s The Witcher producers Lauren Hissrich and Beau DeMayo will be taking point in helping bring the anime to fruition.
