The Russo Brothers are surely enjoying themselves at the top of the hill with the recent Avengers: Endgame film they directed outdoing Avatar as the highest-grossing film ever.

This, however, is not the end for the duo, as they are set to put their hands to new classic franchises as producers. And the franchises? None other than Battle of the Planets and Grimjack.

Battle of the Planets aka G-Force, is the American adaptation of the original Japanese anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. The team of young teens – Leader Ace, Second in command Dirk, Pee Wee, Agatha and Hoot, took on threats to the planet by battling their great nemesis Galactor (Zoltar) and his mechanical creations.

Battle of the Planets may be directed by the Russo Brothers as well, and Joe Russo has said if they were to direct the film, it would be live-action.

The other franchise to undergo film adaptation is Grimjack, the comic book from the 983. The narrative is based in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic Chicago, where the main hero is a mercenary war veteran dealing with his traumatic past as a child gladiator of sorts.

The resulting projects will be produced via the Russo Brothers’ own AGBO Studios.
