Amazon is on track to revive The Tick via a live-action superhero comedy. Based on the Ben Edlund-created character back in 1986 (he works as a writer on Gotham too), The Tick became manifested into a animated series in 1996 and a live-action Fox show in 2001.

Peter Serafinowicz, known for his work in Spaced, Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is set to play the blue-suited Tick.

The general premise of the Tick follows a hero in a blue-Tick costume who is trying to recover from amnesia and ends up re-teaming with his sidekick Arthur (Griffin Newman) to fight evil. The two are surrounded by a new host of characters that include Arthur’s sister Dot (Valorie Curry).
