OtherSide Entertainment, the guys behind Underworld Ascendant are back at it again withnews of bring ing back another nostalgic game to the forefront.
Paul Neurath and the team let it be know that they are in the planning stages of bring to the world a sci-fi roleplaying game of the ages back to the forefront via System Shock 3!
Not a reboot to the franchise, System Shock 3 is set to be a sequel to the earlier titles, number 2 being 16 years ago. And what would be the point if voice actor Terri Brosius didn’t return as the iconic voice of SHODAN, the Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network.
Want to find out more about the game? Sign up for the System Shock 3 newsletter, which promises “promotions and updates”. If getting your hands on the news hot off the presses isn’t enough for you, the studio’s also offering a prize as a “token of [their] appreciation”.
Signing up to the newsletter also includes filling out an optional survey (including details of your previous gaming experience) – and 16 respondents will be chosen at random to win a pretty special prize. Fans will also be given a limited edition SHODAN print by Robb Waters, series concept artist.
And with all this great news, could we be super greedy and hope this will be a VR game to push the games industry to further heights? It seems to be a strong possibility as the survey does ask fans’ perceptions on the new technology.
