assassins creed unity. The Action Pixel. @theactionpixelAssassin’s Creed may have been the lowest point of Ubisoft’s year in 2014, but they seem determined to push on as film production for the feature based on the game series is now underway. The film will be produced by New Regency and 20th Century Fox, and the director attached to the project is Justin Kurzel.

And while Fassbender claims the film will be respective of the game, he also stated “we also want to bring new elements to it and perhaps our own vision of things that already exist in the game”. Which isn’t nearly a bad thing. Film often works differently to games in the narrative department, and things have to be altered to make the transition from one medium to the other. So we’ll wait and see.

Our theory anyway is if you are going to create an awesome game movie, one person in the head creative team must have played and loved that game. You have to be a fan to create a game movie. No real way around that. And also know there is no patch for films after their release.

Assassin’s Creed the movie is set for cinematic release come December 21st 2016
