Sony’s “Metal Gear Solid” movie casts actor Oscar Isaac as Snake

The last we heard of the Sony Pictures-led Metal Gear Solid movie was that the draft script was writ and main casting would be under way. Well it seems they have placed a credible tick on their list of things to execute as news comes that actor Oscar Isaac has been cast to star as the titular Solid Snake in the coming Metal Gear Solid movie.
Metal Gear Solid is of course based on the Konami/Kojima game franchise bearing the same name which first launched on Playstation back in 1998. And if the game franchise is anything to go by, expect a lot of covert black ops and infiltration spy type of action.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts is slated to direct the film. The script is written by Derek Connolly. Avi Arad is producing.
