Even with the abysmal mess 2020 has been, it is not stopping the impressive run of Keanu Reeves to be the MVP of the year. And it would seem he is doing his best to be as close to superherodom as humanly possible.
Keanu Reeves has taken up a new vocation of sorts – he’s writing a comic book series. The actor is currently in the midst of writing a comic book series that will be released monthly on the BOOM! Studios imprint. The title of the series is BRZRKR (I like it, no messy vowels) and will be a 12-issue limited series comic book.
Here’s what the Reeves had to say about the project:
We’re excited about what’s happening. The story’s taking some really interesting twists and turns,” he added.
The “action-packed and hyperviolent” story centres around a character – Berzerker – who was “born 80,000 years ago, half-man, his father’s a war god”. The Berserker is also described as a “world-weary” but “warm guy,” who has “seen a lot, the nature of violence, morals, ethics (and) what side do you choose”.
The comic will be illustrated by Alessandro Vitti.
Reeves also added in regards for his vision of the character and story:
It’s a little fantasy in reality. I had this image in my head of a guy fighting through the ages because of his father’s compulsion to violence.
The comic series BRZRKR is set to premiere come October 7th 2020.
