CD Projekt RED has released a statement regarding the coming Cyberpunk 2077 game that will likely be adding more angst to fans in this here 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to be delayed once again.
The last time this happened, the game faced a delay that wiuld have seen it being released this September 17th, with the original date for the game being April 16. The delay was to cover all bases when it came to building and stress-testing the huge city environment in the game. And the new sets of delays is happening ensure pretty much the same thing in terms of fixing bugs and balancing items.
CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński and head of studio Adam Badowski wrote:
At the time we are writing these words, Cyberpunk 2077 is finished both content and gameplay-wise. The quests, the cutscenes, the skills and items; all the adventures Night City has to offer — it’s all there. But with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs.
In a full statement released via Twitter, Cyberpunk 2077 stated details for their developement update and the further delay.
As for the new date for the game’s official release? Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for release now come November 19, 2020.
But in any case, we’ll look forward to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and whatever else CD Projekt Red is cooking up.
