“Mortal Kombat” movie reboot begins production

Mortal Kombat reboot is in full swing as James Wan, the produced of the forthcoming video game movie, begins production.

Mortal Kombat will be directed by Simon McQuoid and stars Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Lewis Tan said to be playing a new character, Cole Turner, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, and Sisi Stringer as Melina.

The film is set to be rated R.
