Matrix 4?! Apparently, it’s in development according to John Wick 3’s director
It is inevitable.
John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum may be firing its way into cinemas in a few days, but actor Keanu Reeves is no stranger to the gunplay as the Matrix trilogy alum.
Nevertheless, it came as a bit of surprise when the director of John Wick 3 – Chad Stahelski – seemed to break the news that another Matrix film was in the works.
Apparently, the Wachowski brothers are developing a Matrix film that will expand the universe, and whether Keanu Reeves will have any involvement in front or behind the camera is still up to the imagination.
I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved. And if it’s anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it wouldn’t take more than a call to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy’, and I would probably go and get hit by a car.

We kinda like the fan theory of Neo actually not being the One. Plus, seeing Neo is no more, and the Zion/Machine ‘war’ being over in the third instalment, how they will bring The Matrix back (and not by way of prequel), will be interesting to see. Only if done right, of course.
Or should good things come to a natural end and be left as such?
