#TAP10! Say it with your chest, hommie! Now they often say there is no "I" in team. And by 'they' we mean the majority of people who skate by in life parasitically-sucking the life-blood of others who do the hard lifting. However, let's not digress.

In the world of comics, superhero-dom has always been a spectacle when a gifted man or woman or alien does great deeds and feats for the betterment of mankind. But when you throw group dynamics into the mix by making a superhero team, each member endowed with their special set of skills, what you get is a who new horizon of possibilities.

In this #TAP10, we are about to dive headlong into our most iconic, prolific superhero teams of all time. Because whatever the activity, there is nothing better than doing it with a tag team. Whatever the activity. Freaky man.

The forerunner for the Justice League as we know it today was sure the JSA – the Justice Society of America. The team initially included: Doctor Fate, Hour-Man, the Spectre, the Sandman, the Atom, the Flash, Green Lantern (Alan Scott), and Hawkman, who led the team for the most part.

The JSA’s popularity waned with the end of the Golden Era of comics sadly. However, their resurgence came with a creative narrative tidbit explaining their disappearance. Most of the Society chose to disband and retire rather than appear in front of the Joint Un-American Activities Committee, which demanded that they unmask themselves. Sounds like a nice precursor to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon’s Watchmen run.

JSA charm comes when they gave fans the concept of ageing heroes, some who matured way into their 50s. Seeing them fight side by side with the Justice League also gave DC Comics their greatest cross-over comic events to date.
