A fateful duel awaits in new epic “Final Fantasy VII” remake with the release of a new image

Square Enix has taken to the interweb to reveal a key visual teasing the Final Fantasy VII remake, and, as if a wink to the unnaturally awesome state of things, Cloud is on the ground and Sephiroth is in the sky.

Sephiroth here is a bit more reminiscent of the anime Advent Children than the game, but hey, who are we to complain.

At this point any visual will be a step up from the original in the graphics department. From the characters and a Midgar as you’d rightly imagine it – futuristic and neon.

All in all, with a visual like that marrying the old with the new, me thinks a trailer with a solid release date is next.
