20th Century “Flash Gordon” reboot finds screenwriter

Flash Gordon is set to be rebooted as a film by Kick-Ass / X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn, and to top it off have employed the pen game from screenwriter Mark Protosevich. He was the guy behind Thor / I Am Legend.

Here’s what Protosevich had to say:

I can’t wait to get started and if you’re curious about the take? I’m not saying a word. All I’ll say is this – it will be nothing like any version of Flash Gordon you’ve seen

Undoubtedly very extactitc. As far as space / adventure comics go, Flash Gordon is the crème de la crème; The space opera comic strip debuted in the early 1930’s, first drawn by Alex Raymond, which paved the way for the fantasy adventure comics of the 40’s. Not to mention the Flash Gordon cult classic movie of the 80’s and animated series.

Flash Gordon reboot is set to come under the 20th Century Fox banner.
