In the original series, Samurai Jack follows the story of a young prince (voiced by Phil LaMarr) from Feudal Japan, whose empire is overrun by a shape-shifting demon Aku (Mako Iwamatsu). As a child, the prince escapes destruction and travels the Earth training his mind and his body for years until he reaches adulthood, becoming a legendary samurai. He returns home to save his kingdom and banish Aku but before he is able to strike, Aku casts Samurai Jack into a time portal into the future where Aku is the supreme ruler of all. Jack then goes on an never-ending mission to destroy the demon and return to his time.
