Usually with student projects, its a good chance for you creatives to experiment and hone their skills. The end product is usually impressive by some standards, but generally rough around the edges. But we came across this video game walkthrough, a student project game Trailed constructed by a group of 7 student this semester at National Animation and Design Center in Montreal using the Unreal Engine 4.5.0. The result is particularly impressive. No really. Better than some triple A broken games released this year in all honestly.
The animation, walk cycle in relation to movement and environment could use a little more work, but the game walkthrough is wholly impressive, from impressive detail in landscapes and animation dynamics like hair and trees / leaves. Quite the feat for a 14-week student project.
The Trailed walkthrough is very reminiscent of Tomb Raider and The Last of Us; the game sees a heroine surveying the post-apocalyptic landscape.
