residentevil2FullResident Evil has been pretty much the authority in survival horror games since as far back as we can remember. It’s only fitting they continue with that prised tradition of scaring the bejesus out of us with Resident Evil: Revelation 2.

Barry burton in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. The Action Pixel. @theactionpixelA new trailer shows the return of survival vet Barry Burton who goes on a nail-biting harrowing journey to rescue his daughter Moira. Let’s hope his infamous “Jill-sandwich” line doesn’t become “Moira-sandwich”. That would make for a weird conversation:

Headed for the remote prison island in search of his missing daughter, Moira Burton, Barry meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barry’s proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira.

This task would be way easier if there was ample light, ammunition and less horrific monstrosities that like to attack you from your blindspot. Barry Burton appeared as the protagonist in the first ever Resident Evil game, so we get the sense already this return to nostalgia will certain heighten our sense of involvement with the narrative and character motivation. Now only if they could transfer that to their game movies

Capcom is set to make the game into a 4-part episodic feature, each episode going for a bundled cost of £20 / $25, or indivdual episodes costing around £5 / $6. A lesson from Telltale Games then.
