Sony Pictures Metal Gear Solid movie gets scriptwriter Jay Basu attached to project

Sony Pictures as you know are set to make a Metal Gear Solid movie. Awesome. And even more awesome the project seems to have found its writer in rising screenwriter Jay Basu.

Basu has been making quite the name for himself being signed to Universal Pictures tasked with the repsonsibilty of rebooting classic monster film. He also co-wrote Vertigo Films’ Monsters: Dark Continent, currently in post production.

No release or shoot date set in stone for the Metal Gear Solid, but game fans won’t have to wait too long to get their fix of Snake as the video game Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is set to hit Playstation 4 /3, Xbox One / 360 and PC this September.
