Metro Exodus next stop on the line is nex-gen clarity as news hits the interweb that the game will be making its way to Playstation 5, Xbox Series and even PC with some very welcomed upgrades and features for 2021.
Fans can expect for the most part
4k/60fps
Full Ray Traced Lighting
Per Pixel Ray Traced Global Illumination
Infinite number ray bounces
FOV slider
Enhanced textures
Furthermore, these upgrades for both consoles are free.
As far as console specific features, spatial audio and controller latency gets a needed boost on the Xbox, and support for the haptic features of the PlayStation 5 Dual Sense controller also comes in handy when you want to add a little more physical feedback to the fear.
The game hits the 1080p resolution on Xbox Series S, but the other benefits above will apply, including 60 FPS and full Ray Traced lighting throughout.
We’re also working on additional polish and quality of life enhancements, including the ability to change FOV for the first time in a Metro game.
PC gamers can expect some of this surplus of features too, as the PC Enhanced Edition will offer additional Ray Tracing features, including Advanced Ray Traced Reflections and support for DLSS 2.0 on NVIDIA hardware, which offers sharper image details and increased framerates and display resolutions.
The PC Enhanced Edition, an upgrade which also can be obtained for free, is slated for release later this Spring.
Deep Silver + 4A Games also made it clear that even with all these impressive features coming to the nex-gen console, they are still looking for ways to enhance the game.
So if any of you fans thought it was time to put down the Tikhar for more peaceful pastures, think again comrade.
