Director Ava DuVernay is set to make a splash when it comes to heading the coming DC film New Gods, which will feature co-writing from comic book writer Tom King.

And the director, answering fan questions on Twitter, revealed we can expect the great tyrant Darkseid to make an appearance in New Gods.

This will be the first appearance of the overlord in the DCEU, despite Zack Snyder’s best efforts to tease his arrival via Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Justice League.

Probably for the best, given the current state of the Snyder-run DCEU.
