After Netherrealms turned back the hands of time to a new beginning with Mortal Kombat 1‘s trailer, they continue the legacy and the onslaught with a look at the first gameplay trailer. And they most certainly show off the mechanics and cutscenes.

Marry that with some underlying themes of revenge and betrayal, it makes for an interesting watch. The aesthetic does feel different for sure, but the DNA of what makes Mortal Kombat a beat ’em up staple is truly evident throughout still.
