In what is described by Larry Kasanoff as a narrative too large in scope to be properly represented by one film, the proposed Tetris film (yeah it is still happening) is set to be a three-parter.
Kasanoff however promises us he’s not wringing blood out of a Tetris block:
…purely because the story we conceived is so big. This isn’t us splitting the last one of our eight movies in two to wring blood out of the stone. It’s just a big story.
And while details of any narrative are a bit hush-hush, be assured they won’t be “blocks with feet”:
We’re not going to have blocks with feet running around the movie, but it’s great that people think so. It sets the bar rather low!
The first film is set to begin filming in 2017.
At this point we’re just curious… but we suspect it will either remind us of nothing related to Tetris, or it will suck. Or maybe it will remind us of Tetris and be awesome? One movie, sure, a stretch, but 3? That must be one awesome scriptwriter they got… But what do you guys think the story will be?
