Director of “Resident Evil 2” game ‘pestered Capcom for a Remake

Resident Evil VII has been well received overall, even as such has hit a bit of a sore mark with fans who’ve wanted a call back to the glory days of early Resident Evil titles.

Director Hideki Kamiya has come out about having had a numerous discussions spanning years with longtime Resident Evil developer Jun Takeuchi about producing a remake for Resident Evil 2.

CAPCOM officially announced the remake in a video in August 2015.

There is also speculation that a demo is set to come out with the release of Resident Evil VII.
