Mortal Kombat: Generations, the live-action web series first spearheaded by director Garrett Warren is still on. News of the coming series hit us at the beginning of this year, and the Warren took to social media to confirm the show is slated to air later in 2016. The trailer for the series will release early 2016:

And if they are going to be pushing the limits with the likes of Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, we’re game for sure.

The Machinima Mortal Kombat web series was pretty awesome, and as such many of the actors in that are reprising their roles in Generations, including Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung, and Morgan Sticke as Cassie Cage. Plus the series also looks to feature new characters hailing from Mortal Kombat X, the latest game in the MK / Netherrealm franchise.
