Crackle released the very first full pilot of SuperMansion online to hook viewers. The stop-motion animation hails from the Robot Chicken creators and stars the voice of Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston who stars as an aging superhero. Kinda similar to Superman. In fact, the other heroes you’ll see feed on the many superhero tropes set up by DC Comics, and Marvel too.
SuperMansions synopsis reads:
Titanium Rex (voiced by Bryan Cranston) is the leader of the League of Freedom, a motley band of seen-better days super heroes, all living together in a SuperMansion. Titanium Rex struggles to live and fight alongside the Millennial-aged, often lackadaisical members of The League of Freedom as they battle against arch-enemies and struggle to remain relevant in today’s world.
Episode Description: After damaging a national monument, the League of Freedom gets called before Congress and investigated by military accountant Sgt. Agony. Black Saturn embarks on a showdown with his nemesis, the Groaner. Robobot investigates his origins while the team struggles to solve its budget crisis.
Cranston also serves as executive producer, alongside Seth Green, John Harvatine, Eric Towner and James Degus. Matthew Senreich and Zeb Wells of Robot Chicken are creators, writers and executive producers. The series’ voice cast includes Bryan Cranston, Seth Green, Keegan-Michael Key, Jillian Bell, Tom Root, Tucker Gilmore, Heidi Lynn Gardner and Zeb Wells, along with guest stars Chris Pine, Ron Perlman, Donald Faison, Jordan Peele, Nick Kroll, Anton Yelchin, Famke Janssen, Breckin Meyer – and more.
