Marvel + Netflix obviously have been enjoying the success of Daredevil. And why wouldn’t they. It’s goddamn good. Well it looks like we will be visiting Hell’s Kitchen once again as the series has been renewed for a second season.
Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who worked closely with Executive Producers Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard during the first season, will serve as the new showrunners for Daredevil Season 2.
DeKnight commented on not being involved in Season 2:
While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season. I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.
And with AKA Jessica Jones already in production, with Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders coming to Netflix, we definitely have a lot of comic delights hitting us in the coming months.
Netflix + Marvel’s Daredevil will be back for Season 2 in 2016
“Season 2! What do you think will be the main drive for the characters this time around. Will Fisk get off on a technicality. Will he find out Daredevil’s true identity. Hypothesise in the comment section, dear sirs and madams!”
