New Dragonball Z series Dragon Ball Super announced

super saiyan. the action pixel. @theactionpixelIt has been almost 2 decades since a Dragon Ball Z series has graced our screens with the new series. Well the drought is over, as a new series has been announced to premiere on Fuji TV. The series is called Dragon Ball Super.

The narratvie takes place after the whole pink doughy Majin Buu saga and teases new enemies who may be stronger than Frieza and Buu combined. That can’t be good.

Masako Nozaw, the voice actor that plays Goku, had this to say about the project:

We’ve always used the word ‘chō’ (Super) with Dragon Ball in commercials, games and the like, but the fact that the series titled Dragon Ball Super is beginning is the best thing ever

Dragon Ball Super is from original creator Toriyama; Kimitoshi Chioka is directing; with Naoko Sagawa and Atsushi Kido serving as producers.

The return of a new Dragonball Z series is definitely hinging itself on the reinvigorated interest in the franchise via Dragonball Z: Resurrection of F, as well as earlier animated feature Battle of Gods and the Xenoverse game.

The new animated series Dragon Ball Super is set to premiere on Fuji TV come July 2015
