chrononaut. the action pixel. @theactionpixelTime travel. Quite the common theme in sci-fi comics. Usually handled with the finesse of a bull in a proverbial china shop. Complete with all the convolute pseudo-scientific explanations, verbose and tongue-twisting in nature. But with Mark Millar and Sean Murphy’s Chorononauts, the science isn’t contrived to the point of ambiguity and the action is set to hit readers from the turning of the first page. Image Comics are doling out the heavy-hitters lately. With a recent unreleased sci-fi title The Descender film rights getting snapped up by Sony Pictures. Not to mention Mark Millar, who’s superb brand of writing seems to always find its place alongside greatly-sculpted panels from skilled comic artists. Sean Murphy’s art compliments Millar’s word and narrative in a very unique way, bolstered by the colour pallette from Matthew Hollingsworth digital easel and lettering from the wordsmith Chris Eliopoulos, the result is a comic that brings an common sci-fi themes and tropes, not before turning up the intensity to that of a quasar. We for one can’t wait to get a hold of Chrononauts.

Image Comics’ Chrononauts is due out in March 2015
