It seems spoilers come in all forms. Much like Iron Man suit in the Avengers, toys and merchandising may reveal unknown elements of an upcoming production. But this time around DC Comics may have revealed a bit too much of the ending to Rocksteady and WB Games Arkham Knight. Can we expect for Batman to kick the bucket come the final instalment of the Rocksteady developed video game?
The description of the statue gave even more of a spoiler, describing the collectible as “an imposing Batman memorial statue commemorating Gotham’s protector, the Dark Knight”.
The image soon has been replaced with a toy baring a generic “To the Gotham Knight” inscription.
Well I guess we’ll have to draw entertainment from the in-between parts of the narrative now. Just how the Dark Knight will meet his end is still unknown. Or maybe his end will be along the lines of DKR‘s narrative, faking death to go into indefinite retirement. At least we hope so.
Check out more on the Arkham Knight, including the Infiltration Videos 1, 2 and 3, and the Scarecrow DLC.
Game synopsis reads:
In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. Be The Batman.
Now that original Arkham Knight trailer of the last willing testament of Thomas Wayne takes on an even deeper meaning:
