DC Comics current film production plan may be hitting its first turbulent passage as it seems the upcoming Wonder Woman film has not been green lit as of yet. Nothing to do with Gal Gadot… surely; it looks like more of a ‘script issue’.
A scriptwriter working on the series recently too to twitter stating that 6 scripts were ordered by WB with the intention of choosing the best one. Michelle MacLaren, who is set to direct the Wonder Woman film also stated in a recent interview with Vulture that the film isn’t guaranteed that it will go ahead:
…At the moment there is no script, no release date. There’s not even an official green light from the film’s releasing studio, Warner Bros.

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in BVS: Dawn Of Justice
Gal Gadot is set to premiere as Wonder Woman in the upcoming
Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice film. Whether she will go on to star in a
Wonder Woman film, or have the film treated as a whole other universe with a
brand new Warrior Princess, or have the project just not go ahead is yet to been clarified. We understand the importance of Wonder Woman’s live-action outing, so there is little room for error when it comes to DC Comics giving their superhero vets the respect that they deserve. Which may be a good sign things are taking this long to be green lit. So long as DC draws the line between meticulous planning and rabbits caught in the proverbial headlights.
