With Marvel Studios’ recent movie release schedule that spirals up to 2019, DC Comics did some flexing of it’s own. Whilst on Marvel’s roster,we are still waiting on the first definitive, quintessential Hulk movie that would give the Jolly Mean Giant some cinematic justice in a full-length movie, DC / WB’s roster is a bit of a redemption song (Green Lantern surely is a revamp) and filled with the kind of comic hero squads to rival the likes of Guardians Of The Galaxy and the Avengers.
Okay, DC Comics, let’s have at it:
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25th – DC Comics – starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and directed by Zack Snyder)
Suicide Squad (August 5th – DC Comics)
Wonder Woman (June 23rd – DC Comics – starring Gal Gadot of Fast & Furious series)
Justice League (November 17th – DC Comics – starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and directed by Zack Snyder)
The Flash (March 23rd – DC Comics)
Aquaman (July 27th – DC Comics – starring Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) of Game of Thrones)
Shazam (April 5th – DC Comics)
Justice League 2 (June 14th – DC Comics)
Cyborg (April 3rd – DC Comics – starring Ray Fisher)
Green Lantern (June 19th – DC Comics)
And depending on how Dawn Of Justice
goes, it will either be a beacon for related films to follow or cast a long, ominous shadow on every spin-off of it, which is pretty much over 95% of the films here.
But DC has always been about the classics, and with the Batman Trilogy under the proverbial Utility Belt, we know DC will pull something out that is vastly impressive. Fingers crucified.
