The action pixel. @theactionpixelMonty Oum talent for great narratives through the medium of the video game and animation help shine a spotlight on the potential of new media to create powerful stories. So much so he caught the eyes of companies like Bandai Namco and Midway. He later went on to become the lead animator on Rooster Teeth’s Halo-inspired machinima, Red vs. Blue in 2010, followed by RWBY, his own signature project. A bit of the social bug too, always reposting and sharing fan art, engaging with creatives and fans too. In honour of Oum, Rooster Teeth released this simple request- “create”:

As for honouring Monty, we will do that in our own way. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you simply do something creative. Use your imagination to make the world a better place in any way that you can. If you know Monty like we do, then you know he would certainly be doing that if he were able to.
