Daredevil vs punisher. marvel © 2014 The Action Pixel / Dulani WilsonAs what has been much speculated since the news came down of Jon Bernthal donning the white skull of death as the Punisher for season 2 of Daredevil, Matt Murdock will have a huge problem on his hand taking on Frank Castle who is also fighting a different fight for the soul of Hell’s Kitchen

Nothing makes this more succinct than showrunner Marco Ramirez describing this season as “Daredevil vs. The Punisher.”

Now the Punisher is not a straight villain, but rather the disparity comes from the obvious differences in ways in which both vigilantes dispense justice, with the Punisher favouring the more ‘heavy-handed’ approach.

And with the Kingpin behind bars, a void has been created where criminals are running rampant. So Daredevil has to put out the grease fire in Hell’s Kitchen, whilst dealing with the Punisher as well. And with the rumours of characters like Elektra, a cold blooded she-devil assassin, and Bullseye, a hitman then absolutely (well almost absolutely) never misses his target, set to make appearances in season 2, Murdock will have his work cutout for him.
