Brie Larson is Carol Danvers in “Captain Marvel”

Marvel has finally made it known Brie Larson is set to play Captain Marvel in the coming Marvel film. Captain Marvel will be Marvel’s first solo female superhero movie.

The announcement came at the end of the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con. As you know, Brie was one of the fan favourites (along with Rousey) to play Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, with concept art putting her head on Marvel’s body comprised most of the fan art online.

Brie is known for her award-winning role in the film Room, which she won an Oscar for.

She took to Twitter to reveal the news:
