Nintendo did what would call a info dump that one would expect a build up to.

Aside from the trailer for Super Mario Odyssey, details for the coming Nintendo Switch including the release date has been announced.

Props for Nintendo portability and trying to take on online gaming (hopefully with great success this time around) But there are a few things that may prove to be a bit niggly.

The price is for the Nintendo Switch will be $300 (£250+) when it launches. But hefty, but likely to go down. But then one has to consider the costs of the controllers:

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller — $69.99
Joy-Con Controller Sets — $79.99
Individual L/R Joy-Con Controllers — $49.99
Joy-Con Charging Grip — $29.99

Joy-Con Wheel (Set of 2) — $19.99

In the end variety is always good, and depending if you game solo or like to tag team your enemies without huddling over the screen and controls, motion control and the likes, there is definitely something there for you.

And the battery life’s not that hot for a portable device; 2 – 6 hours of gameplay is what fans can expect. So the average of means would say 3 hours would be the sweet spot. That’s a low gaming timeframe for a lot of gamers.

And here is a list of the type of games fans can expect:

1-2 Switch

Weird. peculiar. Just a few words to describe this one. And your bound to have a shake weight moment milking an imaginary cow.

ARMS

It’s a 3D fighting/boxing game that will utilise motion controls and players will punch in the real world. Twisting your fists as you punch executes different special abilities. Out March 2017.

Splatoon 2

The sequel to the multiplayer shooter Splatoon looks to add on to the success with the intensity of the running and gunning with the bullets and blood. It hits in Summer 2017.

Super Mario Odyssey

Mario takes a trip to the real world in this new 3D platformer.

Other games include: Skyrim, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Fire Emblem: Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Minecraft: Story Mode, Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition, Shin Megami Tensei, Has Been Heroes, Octopath Traveler, Project Sonic 2017, I Am Setsuna, Skylanders Imaginators, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence with Power Up Kit, Puyopuyo Tetris S, Disgaea 5, Minna de Waiwai!
