Things become that much more concrete as Netflix gives the solid college try at yet another anime-inspired live-action movie.

This one is based on the world-famous adventures of one Monkey D. Luffy. Yep, One Piece is getting the live-action Netflix treatment and we got a poster to prove it.

And it is as you would expect. High seas, the signature straw hat and sky fist-pumping action.

Other cast include So far, cast members include Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Steven Ward as Mihawk, and Chioma Umeala as Nojiko, as well as McKinley Belcher III (Ozark), Morgan Davies (The End), Aidan Scott (The Kissing Booth 2), Vincent Regan (300), Jeff Ward (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (The Sex Lives of College Girls).

And given things are slated to set sail later this year, Netflix is gearing up for the fickle maiden that is the high seas (and anime fandom).
