The Flash’s (official) VFX light and flare saturated debut in Justice League may have been filled with lacklustre to say the least, but it seems the Red Scarlet may be getting a boost in energy in the narrative and directorial department come Flash: Flashpoint.

It is being reportedly found its directors in John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. And for those that don’t know, these gentlemen were the screenwriters for Marvel + Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Homecoming
This is very much welcomed news in my opinion. Flashpoint, if you are familiar with the narrative arc, has Flash traversing time and space altering events of history for selfish purposes, only to inadvertently affect the future in disastrous ways. Think butterfly effect. And when you start dealing with things like space-time continuum and non-linear timelines in film, things get a bit mucky. So capable screenwriters at the helm of Flash: Flashpoint will be a good move. Whether or not the newly found directors have that Nolan-mastery when it comes to the depiction and manipulation of time is another matter.
