“Jessica Jones” Season 2 casts ‘Power’-star J.R. Ramirez in a recurring role

Marvel and Netflix has dug into the talent pool and has drawn from the source of an entirely different ‘Power’ source. J.R. Ramirez, known for his role in the Starz’ show Power, has joined the cast of Netflix’s Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2.

J.R. Ramirez has been cast a series regular and plays Oscar, a devoted single father who moves into Jessica’s building as the new superintendent. While his young son becomes enamored with Jessica and her powers, Oscar keeps his distance, worrying about the trouble that follows people like her.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones series Creator and Executive Producer, Melissa Rosenberg, had this to say:
