Hello Games settled the dispute recently with mega part Murdock-owned Sky TV/ British Sky Broadcasting Group over the use of the word “sky” in the game No Man’s Sky. Hello Games studio founder Sean Murray tweeted about the legal issues he has been experiencing, calling the lawsuit “3 years of secret stupid legal nonsense.”
And anyone who is familiar with Sky and their shitty broadband service and overly-expensive TV packages, you probably are aware that they did something similar with Microsoft, forcing the company to change its cloud storage name from Skydrive to Onedrive. So those delays No Man’s Sky has been having may have not been a game development issue at all… Thanks, Murdock and company.
Well, now it’s over, and things are right in the universe.
