The CW’s “Riverdale” cast Betty and Jughead

Of course by now you’ve digested the news of a new comic series is coming to The CW Network in the form of Riverdale based on the Archie comics.

Now news comes down that both Jughead and Betty have been cast.

Cole Sprouse, known for Disney’s Zack and Cody, will play Jughead, with the character described as a heartthrob with a philosophical bent and former best friend of Archie Andrews.
 

Surviving Jack‘s Lili Reinhart is playing Betty, described as: sweet, studious, eager-to-please and wholesome, with a huge crush on her longtime best friend, Archie.
