DC Comics’ Teen Titans has always been a classic franchise and it was great news when news came of a Titans series in development. A pilot even was commissioned. However, it has come to light that the Titans series is being abandoned all together.
Reason? According to the TNT president Kevin Reilly as reported by Deadline:
We decided it wasn’t where we wanted to go
Our only thought is DC felt Titans had better potential as a feature to rival the team superhero flicks that have done well over at Marvel. Or at least thats the hope of where DC’s mindset is at.
But if the case is not having TV and Cinematic feature clashed (seeing Titan member Cyborg is having his own flick) The Flash didn’t seem to cause much for DC to puzzle over if they were worried about cause cross-media confusion.
The Titans series was also meant to portray the transition of Dick Grayson from Robin to Nightwing.
“So what do you think DC’s plans are for the Titans, if any? Let us know your thoughts. Comments. @TheActionPixel. Leave it.”
