hack / slash. the action pixel. @theactionpixelWhen it comes to filmic clichés and tropes it seems as repetitivae as the y get, we can’t get enough of them. But with Hack / Slash, they give a nod to the cliché whilst offering something new, so it is no wonder that finally this comic series has been picked up to become a TV series.

Synopsis of Hack / Slash:

Hack/Slash centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who symbolizes the cliche of the lone girl who survives at the end of every horror movie. However, the emotionally-damaged girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers. Along with a burly protector named Vlad, Hack travels across the country hunting slashers in the vein of Halloween’s Michael Myers, Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger

So you can see how awesome this would be already. Hack / Slash, Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli’s cult horror comic, has been picked up by Relativity, and is being developed into a “gritty” TV series that is in “The Walking Dead-mold.”. The show will be executive produced by Adrian Askarieh and Ray Ricord.

Skip Woods (Swordfish, Hitman) is slated to feature on the production as the writer.

There is no director attached to the project as of yet.
