Attack on Titan comic Anthology announced at NYCC 2015

Kodansha Comics, the American sister company of manga publishing house Kodansha in Japan, has made it known at NYCC that an Attack On Titan anthology, penned by various heavyweight writers and artist is in the works. Among the names set to put their pen to the Titans is Batman writer Scott Snyder as well as Secret Six writer Gail Simone.

Other creators involved on the project include Faith Erin Hicks, Michael Avon Oeming, Jeremy Lambert, Brenden Fletcher, Kate Leth, Ronald Wimberly, Cameron Stewart, Kevin Wada, and Genevieve Valentine.

Attack On Titan, of course the popular manga and resultant anime series tailors a narative around humanities last hope in defense against guargantuan humanoid savage beasts known as titans. An while the anthology will focus on the Attack OnTitan universe, Kodansha executive Ben Applegate said in an interview with CBR that the creatives working on the anthology were given a bit of free range in the crafting of their narratives. Should be interesting to see culttural interpretations and differences… long as there is no bastardisation involved.
